Version 1.1.0 - Post-jam improvements
Hello » Devlog
There is never enough time at a game jam to fix all the bugs, and that's sort of the point. I mostly prefer leaving jam-games unchanged (preserved, as it were) after the deadline, but today motivation struck.
Changelog:
- Fix enemy navigation so it can catch you anywhere on the map
- Substantially improve animation when the monster catches you
- Fix camera pointing in the wrong directions.
- Fix handset rotation so that it is relative to the player (I thought I'd done this during the jam but apparently I only thought about it.)
- Lift the handset before rotating it.
- Increase animation duration slightly.
- Make enemy shake-effect look more deliberate (and not like some kind of bug) by only shaking parts of the enemy.
- Visual improvements of itch.io page cover image
- Support dialing with numpad keys (secret extra controls: you can call/hang up using the numpad enter key)
- Improve menu layout - ensure menu titles are behind buttons if screen size causes them to overlap
- Set "hang up" beep to appropriate volume
- Lower mouse sensitivity from the crazy high value that Niels prefers (what are you gonna do about it, Niels? :-P )
